Unusual Question….
I was asked a very unusual question yesterday….”What is the most misunderstood thing about Leslie Woodall”? That was a hard one! I never really thought about it before. I’ve always said “you can read me like a book”. You know…”what you see is what you get”. HMMMMM. Am I misunderstood? Do the people around me really “know” me? I mean…”the true me“…the good, the bad and the ugly!
Here I am…nearly 40 years old and I’m not sure I even know the answer! I know there’s a lot more “good” than “bad” and when it comes to the “ugly”…..well, guess you’ll have to decide that one for yourself.

I got one of those forwarded emails today from a friend. You know the ones that have the cute, posed pictures of pets doing all kinds of adorable things. You gotta say “awwww….how cute!” At the end of the email, it said something like “all I need to know I learned from my dog”. A statement that can quickly be passed over but really deserves more consideration.
“All I need to know, I learned from my dog”…technically, not so much! – but as I sit here with Max’s wide eyes eagerly staring at me, with his only desire to be loved, I realize what I’ve learned from Max may not be ALL I need to know….but it sure is a good start.
Wouldn’t you feel like a Rock Star if EVERY time you came home your family dove to the door…desperate to see you. As the mother of a teenage boy, I’m lucky if I get a grunt or a “oh so cool” nod as I pass through the house. I don’t care if Max is in the middle of bowl of Iams or if he’s napping on the couch…when I pull in the driveway the excitement begins!

So I say…Enjoy LIFE like Max enjoys a ride in the car.

Well…maybe I didn’t “get it”!
So, it was the first of the year. January….a month of new beginnings….and I had a BLOG. 
Yes, it only took me 14 hours to figure out how to set it up and probably another 14 hours decide what I wanted to say – but I was going to SAY IT…..and I was going to BLOG everyday! The whole world was going to be captivated by my personal blog about Blount County real estate and of course, my family! That was then…January 7th and this is now….AUGUST 5th and I’m writing only my second post!
So maybe I didn’t “get it”.
I read blog posts every day. Some of the information is informative, others motivating. What am I afraid of?? Maybe I’m not as appealing to the general public. Maybe I will just be plain BORING!
Well, that’s okay. I’m going to give it a try any way. There will be time to catch everyone up on my crazy, wonderful summer, but first things first!

I’ve decided to try something new…well, maybe not new to many of you! I’ve decided to start my own blog. I’ve tried to figure out, “What is a blog?”. Is it a way for me to journal my life? (BORING), is it a way for people to reconnect? (that’s what Facebook is all about), is it a way to promote my real estate website? (it’s www.ForSaleByLeslie.com – just in case you were curious). I’m still not sure, but I guess we can figure it out together. Be patient and be kind….Like everything, you have to walk before you can run!
